If any of you get stuck at 0:58 when he says to disconnect the HDMI from your TV and put it in the Splitter. He doesn't metntion that it's the HDMI from the PS4 that goes into the HDMI INPUT (next to the power cable) on the Splitter.

if you had your PS4 setup already and your HDMI cable went from your PS4 to your TV, then that is where you would follow the setups provided in this video.

I got the exact same capture card and the same splitter, and still wont work :'-( on hdmi, i got the hd components  but i want the hdmi to work.

How do u record your voice. Do u need a mic or will the elgato already pick up your voice, and if u do need a mic could you use turtle beaches and record your vouce with that? Thanks in advance c:

When I do this, my monitor works fine until I open up the game capture app. When I open the elgato game capture program my monitor and elgato screens both go black and never come back on, any ideas? I have it set up exactly like you, only difference is I'm running my hdmi cord through dvi

I have an elgato, ps4, and astro a40 2013. When I follow your steps, I can get video and audio on my gaming monitor and headset, but only video on my elgato. Do you know of a fix for this?

What would be a good setup if I wanted to record ps3 and ps4 gameplay with same game capture? Would I have to unplug the hdmi cables when I wanted to switch between them or is there a batter way? Also could I use a headset mic for audio using the game capture recording ps4 or ps3 gameplay?

I am wondering, this is an honest question: Why would you want to use an Splitter when you can deactivate the HDCP from the ps4 for videogames, I know it doesnt work for dvds or blurays, but for games it is not really necessary, is it?

My tv is black and my elgato program is black as well and occasionally getting a splitsecond of sound and Im using kinivo, 5 inputs and one output, hdmi switcher. Please help.

How do you route the sounds from the PS4 to the computer instead of having it come out of the speakers on the tv/monitor? Thank you in advance.

Can you actually use the hdmi splitter? So u can have 2 screens on at once and still record through elgato?

THIS IS NOT NEEDED, DO NOT waste your money. Just turn off HDCP and hook it up normally.

Hey, mate. Do you use Xsplit? I'm experiencing game audio lag. Not lag from my voice (I already have my a delay fixed for that) but my game audio will slowly go outta sync.

i don't think you need a splitter because they made it that you could record with hdmi with the latest update if am right

Everything seems to work fine until I turn on the elgato game capture program. Once I do that, the light goes off and I get a blank screen on both my tv and game capture program. I switched out the HDMI's cords but it's still the same. I could really use some help

What if I have a desk with monitors(just wanna play on one tho) next to my TV set up.. Can I setup both my ps3 and ps4 to a HDMI splitter then game capture and switch from monitor when I'm alone to TV when i have guest over? Without messing with any plugs in the back?? Not trying to play em at the same time either just switch back and forth between monitor and flat screen.?
