Let's admit gaslighters are often people not working with the same set of values. The first time you bring it up you will learn very quickly what type of person you are dealing with. From someone who made an honest mistake to someone who believes they are above the law and morality. Be aware of deny and deflect tactics used by toxic personalities. There is a difference between a direct answer and ignoring or dodging the question.

How do you stop harassment and retaliation after HR "took care of the situation"

I feel so validated. Thank you ❤ I’m 6 weeks into a new job I was thrilled to get. At 2 days in, for seemingly no reason, my boss said “this job isn’t for everyone” … I didn’t question it because I didn’t want to arguing or upset her hoping it was a one-time thing.

Since then she’s said the same phrase on at least 5 times occasions. Last week she went further to say the job was intended for a more experienced person, but because they didn’t have the funding they got me. OMG! So rude. Then in the same talk she went on to say “they’ve let other people go” who are in the role.

It’s weird because I haven’t been asked to do much so I don’t know what I did wrong. I am confident I am qualified! I’m confused that they hired me in the first place at this rate. During 1 of the 5 interviews I asked for examples of how my work would be measured etc, but I now feel was self-pressured into acceptance their vague answers. Prior to this I was trying to escape another narc boss. Now here I am dusting off my resume again.

Do you have any coping advice until I find something better? Or how can we weed this out during an interview?
