Besides rust, another constant bit of entropy is wood rot, like could happen to the planking on your trailer. Down on the farm we mix 50:50 diesel and used motor oil to treat wood. Wait for the driest time of year and apply the mixture with a garden pump spray jug. Once a year and wood lasts forever. I know of two hay wagon decks that are over 70 years old and live outdoors and are still solid because of this treatment. Good job for Hoolio!

Thanks for making the video, i was hoping to see you make one on rust even though your not in the rust belt. Gets me motivated to use the spray which i forgot about, since i was using your oil mix for rust. Thank you

I’ll have to try this on the inside of my Jeep’s skid plate; I go berserk with fluid film on hard to reach places like the frame, and other hard to reach places

That’s awesome man, thanks for the info… Loctite always makes pretty good products. What was the other home brew stuff you made that had like transmission fluid and dawn dish liquid or something? I can’t remember exactly. I was gonna try to look that video up again in a little while. I’ve got some really bad rust on my trailer wheels and they need help quick… lol

Does this work permanently on a muffler or on a exhaust manifold? Or will it burn off?

Hey, what about the homemade stuff you made with trans.fluid, dawn, & PB blaster? Isn't it very good also?

I thought primer absorbs moisture which is why as soon as it dries you have to paint over it. You don't want that. Maybe short term like you said but you need to scrape/sand the surface rust off, then use a rust converter which changes it from rust to this black substance which wipes right off. Then you sand again to get down to the bare metal. At that point you can primer and repaint. Or you can use fluid film. If you use fluid film do NOT get any on anything rubber as it will cause it to swell and could cause problems depending on what it is.

I was looking for something like this, great advice. Any idea on rust inside rocker panels that are completely rust free on the outside? I thought of using this spray with a long straw and a nozzle on it passing it from the plugs.
