A Night 1 guide for Five Nights at Freddy's 4.

Let the FNaF 4 guides begin! This game has an amazing story, fantastic gameplay, and is legitimately hazardous to your health if played for long enough. Although I can't save you from severe hearing damage entirely, I can definitely teach you how to get jumpscared less often. During this video, I showcase the best possible strategy for Night 1, explain the patterns of each animatronic, and break down every major sound cue one by one.

Great tutorial, as always. These will do brilliantly for new players. I hope you'll also cover the challenge modes.

I should point out that staying still in one area of the room for too long isn't a good idea, because it causes the Freddles to accumulate on the bed much faster. It also has an effect on Night 5 and the 4AM to 6AM segments of nights 6-8.

Moving to each area is a good idea as well because the first time in the night you go to each area of the room (including the bed), it takes slightly longer to load, so going to each area slightly decreases the time it takes to go to them every time after.

Scott was nasty for this game, if you have your volume high enough to be able to hear the breathing IF you get jumpscared you actually get scared. (and hearing loss)

One thing I've always found hilariously odd about this game is that the core game-mechanic is to listen for the BREATHING of a ROBOT. Just goes to show these are nothing more than nightmares

If you died to Nightmare Foxy on Night 1, this is not a glitch nor is he usually active. Shining the flashlight on the bed for 15 seconds at a time will cause Foxy to instantly attack, regardless of the time. Aside from this occurrence, Foxy has zero chance to be active on Night 1. I didn't mention this because I explicitly stated that you should be moving around constantly and displayed that in my gameplay, so I assumed it wouldn't be an issue.

After long disregarding fnaf franchise I decided to familiarise myself with the games and see what all this ruckus was about back then, Your videos are very nice to have! Much better than plain walkthroughs, when most of the time I dont really know whats going on with the really interesting bits, which is mechanics and strategies

For the topic of how Freddy materializes out of nowhere:

Everywhere I read about the stuff it mentions that he's actually hiding under the bed the entire time. Not sure where this info came from, possibly one of those guide books.

Tips: foxy would should come at some point to know he’s there from a distance you have to have a close eye on the right closest door he usually comes from the right side in fnaf 1 and fnaf 4 keep this in mind it’s very useful. Oh and if u see the closest right door move like a bit or a lot check the closest to see if you see foxy in a way not next to the door then it okay but check it again because when u leave him alone he will try to move to get you so check it if hes far from door go back and go again if he’s super close and u hear a jumpscare CLOSE THE CLOSEST! If you don’t he is going to get you

I have tried to avoid this game at all costs but I really want to play it. I hate fnafs that strictly rely on sound. But I did end up getting the fnaf 6 true ending. I think I’m gonna try it. Thank you for the guide
