How to beat Fun with Plushtrap/Fun with BB in Five Nights at Freddy's 4.

Most players tend to underestimate the importance of this minigame. This is the only time in the franchise that you can gain a major advantage before even starting the night, and is thus very undervalued and important to learn. There's a basic pattern that you can follow that will allow you to beat Plushtrap 100% of the time, and Nightmare BB about 80% of the time.

I have pretty much ‘mastered’ Fun with BB, and I have some knowledge
1: the earliest he seems to get to the X is when the timer hits 33
2: If he appears and then hides away in either of the closer doorways when you flash the light, then you flash again after waiting 4-5 seconds and you don’t see him peeking out at all, wait 9 seconds. If that doesn’t work, wait 10 seconds, but usually when this happens, 9 seconds is the norm
3: When it says that BB’s bonus hour works on challenge modes, it’s not referring to the challenges unlocked after beating 20/20/20/20 Mode. Instead, it’s referring to the challenge nights, namely Night 6, Nightmare Mode and 20/20/20/20 Mode. This is particularly helpful to know, because Plushtrap’s 2 hours don’t work on those nights. Plus, if you activate any challenges and play any night from nights 1-5, Plushtrap’s 2 hours still work
4: in the normal game, BB only gives 1 hour, regardless of what night it is, however in the Halloween Edition, if BB’s minigame is completed, nights 1-5 start at 2AM, while nights 6, 7 and 8 still start at 1AM

The scurries are way easier to hear than the deep footsteps

It makes the jump scares even scarier 😂

Very good strategy. One thing I'd like to add about BB, I believe he does make a vocal sound when he initially reaches the X. But once he reaches the X you only have like half a second to shine your light before he is at his ready to jumpscare you stage. So you would have to have very good very consistent reaction time to listen for it but if you do then it should work most of the time as long as you've heard 2 scurries already. But your strategy is likely much more consistent for most people.

With plushtrap I just use the timer when it gets on 14 I flash the light right away
