This is one of the early exercises I would do after a rotator cuff tear. (see previous video for the first two exercises I would do!) Check in with your doctor or PT, but this is a relatively safe movement to perform because it provides a way for you to work into gentle range of motion with good support for the shoulder. This should not increase pain or symptoms, so limit the range of motion to a pain free range.
