I REALLY just wish they could've at least directed the new VAs to be as cheery, smug, or carefree like the previous ones. i actually like the voices, but the manner of speaking is too dull compared to the original, which is mildly infuriating.

The new soukaku voice was described as sounding like a chipmunk, and now I can't unhear it

Just makes me ask "Why?" Her original voice was fine, a bit high pitched but it matched her bubbly personality.

Edit: Okay, I've got sufficient play time with Soukaku with the new voice and I am...not really digging it... Now, Soukaku has been in my team composition for *a while* now, and it could just be that I was just so used to the original voice to the point that's greatly influencing how I feel...but I don't know, I thought it was fine before.

They butchered Lucy and ill never forgive that. Her previous voice was perfect

Old Lucy voice sounded very posh and ladylike, I miss it a lot. Now she doesn’t feel as natural when it comes to commanding that sassy tone.

Sokaku went from sounding like she hated work but would beat up anyone for a bowl of rice to a front desk receptionist.

Soukaku's isn't too bad. I also preferred the original. Now, Lucy, on the other hand? What a NERF. Original voice actress killed it. She will always be the voice of Lucy. Now I'm just playing an imposter. Not new VA's fault, but she could've followed the same voice direction. ☹

The original VA for Soukaku had much more energy and enthusiasm when she read her lines and she just fit the character perfectly!

They definitely need to go back and re-record that mess with the same enthusiasm and flair.

Never in the past have I ever been dissapointed when VAs change, its usually not that noticable and something you can get used to but this time... NOOO! Soukaku's old voice was completely perfect, all the respect to the new VA but this is night and day. i need her old voice back... i need it😢

I too hate sudden changes in VAs and the fact that we don't get notified of the change until afterward(like houhou, tail and argenti), but in this very rare case where this game is very new and my interaction with sokaku has been minimal in story, I actually don't mind this change. I think for the most part its best to do these drastic changes in the beginning of the games life cycle and not 1 and a half or 4 years into it like hsr and genshin, unless there is a tighnari level incident.

I just swapped to the Japanese voices. Soukaku shares the same VA as Nene Kusanagi in Colorful Stage, so it's adorable.

it's 100% improved. the original voice was ear bleeding inducing. She sounds more normal instead of annoying 😭

Funny thing, it was sort've forewarned. There was a survey for a couple of characters, and one of the options was about their voices, and I think both Lucy and Soukaku were on there, can't remember the others though.
