Thanks for this update video and the nudge towards it in your replay to my part 3 comment. I'll need to rewatch part of it as found it a bit confusing, not your explanation but more the rationale behind the process.

Should I still watch any of the original part 4 or does this actually replace it fully?

I followed the start of this exactly yet my big transition is different from yours and this was the same in your first video. Really don't know what I doing wrong.

In real life, the moving tapes are large enough to see well. But on a 32" monitor everything is smaller. To make the G1000 look realistic in size is a big mistake. They should have magnified the width of the two tapes to make them readable without zooming.

This is why flying with steam gauges is easier when things get serious. In real life, the statistics show that steam gauge planes have fewer accidents but only by a small margin. Because in real life glass screens are easier to see than in the sim and so the issue is not as serious.
