Time to dig deep and see which GPUs the latest AMD Ryzen 6000 series APU processors will be as powerful as! We've got data for the 6800U at 15 watts and 28 watts, so let's figure out how powerful the 35 and 45-watt parts will be.

This video has a lot of speculation in it towards the end, but is meant to be a starting point for a discussion on what to expect from the February release of these partner laptops and potentially mini PCs!

Great video, keep the good charts up :) Seeing these charts, I am very curious to see how the Steam Deck will run. Hopefully it will be closer to the 6800U, then the 5700G.
One thing I'd like to point out, it seems you have the DDR4 version of the 1030, which is extremely crappy. The GDDR5 version is way better and much more adopted, from the people that look at your videos at least, so it can give a much better idea of the actual 1030 GPU performance.

Very much liked the analysis and something to look out for as these APUs get better and better. What I would have liked to see is more DX12 older GPUs which wouldn't be hampered like the 7970 in newer titles. Even if you took the hardware unboxed figures and extrapolated so they could be added to the comparison graph. Lastly it would have been nice to see a complete build price comparison of an APU build vs an 2 generation old CPU with one of the older DX12, eg.
5700G + DDR4, vs 3600 or 10400F + DDR4 + gtx 970 vs 6900HX + DDR5

I'm so glad I purchased my 5700xt back in 02/20. The £345 was a complete steal when compared to today. I think more players will likely go back to console until things get better.

1080p/FSR Quality isn't exactly the same thing as "stock" 720p, FSR entails a ~7% performance hit for it's respective internal resolution (at least that's what was shown in the initial reviews on high end dGPUs tested. So for the "720p" data to be accurate, you MAY need to add a 5-10% on top (for the Ryzen 6800U/Radeon 680M estimated performance at least, the other stuff you tested yourself at 720p native so they don't count).

In short, for example, in Godfall:
Native 720p low performance for the 6800U should be > 61fps, not 61. And for FC6 720p medium it should be > 59fps, not 59fps


But don't get me wrong, just wanted to get that out of the way, really love your work, good stuff. Been curious for a good analysis/speculation piece (TechEpiphany's one wasn't very good) and this looks like it! Actual 6000U/H/HX and Radeon 660M/680M seem to be still a few weeks away and as for desktop "6000G"... those are at least half a year away, so this helps a lot.

PS: I'm almost certain my next build will be a 6000G APU one, skipping 2022 as for GPUs. And maybe upgrading to one and Zen5 at a later date so I'm glad more people are covering this angle!

Will any of these APUs be available for desktop retail or will this be another line like the 4000 series where the APUs were only available low power OEM desktops, or laptops only. Because for these really to work as a stop gap for GPUs, they have to be available on a platform you can upgrade to a GPU.
