Varicocele: Symptoms and Causes

Dr. Adam Geronemus, Vascular and Interventional Radiologist at Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute, explains varicocele is dilatation or dilated veins within the scrotum. "When the valves don't function, if the blood flows the wrong way, the veins become dilated. It is a tangle in the scrotum," he says.

Dr. James Benenati, Director of Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory at Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute, points out the veins generally work passively by allowing gravity to push the blood back towards the heart, but when those valves malfunction, the blood flows up and it flows back down.

I fixed it by stretching the Psoas muscle and fixed anterior tilt. Make sure u don’t have a tilted pelvis!

had a *kind* doctor try to untangle my varicocele on first surgery, testical shrivelled up and became dead, no feeling. this lead to me losing that teste due to cancer concerns. initial problem was a heaviness in my scrotum and dull constant pain.

Hello, I underwent vericocele laparoscopic surgery due infertility.. i had no pain before surgery..after 3 months of surgery, I am feeling pain in scrotum ..so can we stich back ligated veins ..??will the veins still be active ? Will it able to carry the blood if stich back ligated vein... Can u pls advice

Thank for answering the symptoms as a result of malfunctioning vein valves. But not why the valve malfunctions in the first place? That would give the cause.

One Day I Was At Work Running Up & Down Stairs All Day At Work & I Felt Like I Pulled Something. Wrote It Off Then A Day Or Two Later It Came Back. Went To The Hospital Got A Ultrasound To Make No Veins Got Tangled Which Weren’t BUT They Told Me I Had This
