I was in a small venue with a comedian who was heckled by a drunk. The comedian made fun of the heckler. The heckler got up and stormed out of the room. But he was so drunk he missed the door and knocked himself down hitting the wall. It was so funny. The comedian shook his head and said I don’t know how to beat that.

I was heckled by a comedian before... I had worked 24 hours straight and had plans w/ friends to meet at the Comedy Club, I was exhausted and when the lights when down I fell asleep within 10 mins of the show starting, in my chair in the front directly in front of the Comedian on stage, I was sleeping upright baby bird style, mouth open and the comedian made the entire rest of his time heckling me. The other people in the audience thought it was all part of the show and evidently the comedian roasted me good (I was told everything the next day). I slept thru the whole show. I laughed when they told me- Glad the comedian got a lot of good material off of me. This was in 2002. Still think it's funny

I tried open mike on a Sunday morning (that's when open mikes are done...liquor is served) and everybody is a heckler. Hecker jokes should be in your bag if you want to keep going...beware when you do respond they wait for you outside when you to leave.
