In Alexandre Dumas novel, Count of Monte Cristo, Edmond Dontes speaks gives a toast to his son, Albert Mondego, offering his some life advice while also commending his bravery.

I love the subtle clue that the birthday toast for a young man is reserved for the boy’s father. Fernand didn’t care to give it, at the risk of severely embarrassing his wife and son and damaging his family’s social standing, and in steps the Count to defuse the situation, making Fernand appear gracious, all the while unknowingly giving his first birthday toast to his own son.

Excellent movie put it in my top 10 and I fell in love with Jim The count of Monte Cristo I love a man that looks good with long hair and he pulls it off really well in the storyline of course is awesome Guy Pearce even gave a great performance even though he's the asshole in the movie and the jealous Rich friend

Jim is insane today, but this was his finest movie.
