Ep 034 Lorcan Film Unit Remastered

This is the thirty fourth instalment of the remastered Lorcan Film Unit Videos. There is a total of 10 hours worth of film that we hope to publish over time. Unfortunately Leslie Crowe who was the Director and creator of much of this content is no longer with us. So we are hoping to get your help to figure out the places and the names of the people he captured.

At 0:24 The sculptures on the walls of the main gate of Santry Court, the sculptures are copies of the Parthenon Marbles from The Parthenon in Athens, Greece. The original Athens sculptures were stolen between 1801 and 1812  by the Earl of Elgin and are now in The British Museum in London and the Greeks want them back. The gates at Santry had to be moved back a few metres in the early 2000s to allow for road widening, but the sculptures were preserved and can still be seen just inside the main gate of Santry Park.
