Another great look into the past the house was gone slightly before my time but the rest of the film is so recognisable. Thanks so much for this 😊

Nice glimpse of a Great Northern Railway bus still in its blue/cream livery @ 2:33, such a pity about the loss of Santry House but great to see in these clips.

@01:30 the men are re-enacting the funeral of Charles Domville
"At Santry Demesne about one hundred years ago Sir Compton Domville gave orders to all gate lodge keepers on the estate not to allow his son, Charles, to gain access to any part of the estate under pain of instant dismissal. One day, as Sir Compton was walking down the avenue, he met his son, Charles on a hackney car driven by a Dublin Jarvey. He stopped him and asked how he got inside the walls. Charles made answer and said "I got in, the way you will not get out when you die, " (meaning through the gate of course) When his father died Charles remembered what his father had done to him. He locked all the gates so that the funeral could not pass through. He broke down the wall between Santry and the front gate and brought the funeral through the opening to Santry Church yard."

Santry Court burned down on the 24th of October 1941, It was initially planned to be converted into a Sanitorium with plans for dedicated housing to be provided to patients split and group according to their ailment. During the Emergency as we called WW2 it was agree upon by the Domville Family that parts of the lands could be used on the condition that they were looked after and any damages to the property repaired. The house fire was said to be by the Minister of Defence caused by a faulty Chimney Flute.
After the fire the Minister was sued successfully by the Domville Estate and the Grangegorman management board for the sum of 25, 000 pounds at the time. In his defence the Minister stated that fire damage was not included in their agreement

Was this Santry? The opening scene where there's a stadium behind a grey wall certainly looks like Santry to me.

Shame the buildings were not preserved and renovated.

Cars were nice and modestly sized back then. Now they have turned into oversized, space-consuming brutes :(
