This is the twenty third instalment of the remastered Lorcan Film Unit Videos. There is a total of 10 hours worth of film that we hope to publish over time. Unfortunately Leslie Crowe who was the Director and creator of much of this content is no longer with us. So we are hoping to get your help to figure out the places and the names of the people he captured.

If you turn on the Closed Captions "CC" on the video to see what we know about the footage so far.

That colour footage of the pillar in ruins has to be priceless! I've only ever seen B&W from those days.

The clip of the elderly lady walking by a pub/shop, she passes a shop with the name Deghini & Sons. They made the statues for churches and religious institutes and also restored statues. Many of the statues still in churches today still bear their name on the rear pedestal.

The Dairy ghost sign is still visible-ish. I can’t remember exactly where it is, but I think it’s could be close to Thomas St near the Quays. I’ll try report back soon.
