Mom of Sick Triplets Warns of ‘White Lung Syndrome’

White lung syndrome in the U.S. appears to be hitting Ohio the hardest with health officials in one county citing at least 145 cases in children between the ages of 3 and 14 years old. All three of Hollie Overton's toddlers are sick. Her daughter Lucy has pediatric pneumonia, which is also called white lung syndrome because of the cloudy image that shows up on a chest x-ray. I didn't know pneumonia was contagious. Thought it was something people developed on their own when they'd gotten sick and the cold wasn't treated early on.

As an X-ray tech, I can confirm I have been seeing lots of pneumonia in babies and children and teens with pneumonia recently. It’s awful seeing them so ill.

So-called "White Lung Syndrome" is no different than your run-of-the-mill pneumonia. This new name is meant to put fear into you. The white look to the lung is what doctors have always used to diagnose pneumonia. Pneumonia can be treated with antibiotics.

Oh gosh make sure it’s not the humidifier there was the silent killer in Korea many years ago because of it. There was something wrong with the cleaning agent 😰

Could this white lung be at all connected to the train derailment and all those chemicals spilling out into the ground and contaminating the water. I wonder. No one seems to be talking about the train derailment anymore, and the fallback from all the pollution from it.

I heard about this before this video because I was at the doctor for being sick and we stayed in ohio for 1 night at a hotel and they said it could be white lung..it wasn't though
