Not all pigeons are Woodpigeons - honest! Stock Dove is a very common species, but can you tell it apart from the ubiquitous Woodpigeon? Let us help you tell these two species apart - and make sure you don't confuse them with Feral Pigeon / Rock Dove.

Unlike many people, I adore pigeons, and see them as intelligent and affectionate creatures. Thank you for this video, I really enjoyed it. 🐦

Oh I love pigeons. They’re so cute and funny with their bobbing heads, specially when they get excited over foods. They are so affectionate and respectfully. Very humble and loving.

I love town pigeons. It always bugs me how people can call them flying rats when they're always so peaceful, sociable and friendly towards humans. I always slow down and walk carefully and respectfully past them in town. They have a happy presence about them 🙂

Thanks. Useful. We have a pair of wood pigeons perching high up right by our living room window. The feathers under the head appear as stripes as in turtle doves but these have the colours of wood pigeons so no problem. They have mated this week so I expect more visits. My husband has just done a perfect impression of them, walking back and forth across the living room, including the sounds! lol

I love pigeons, they're gorgeous. I feed the town feral pigeons at my kitchen door. They come everyday at the same time. I get to recognise them.❤

Thank you for the video. I feed them every day with bird seed, both wood and feral pigeons. Their behaviour is quite different, the wood pigeons chase away other woodies but the ferals group together. They're all beautiful. The jackdaws and rooks that come outwit them easily though, pigeons seem endearingly dumb. Definitely one of the nicest songs.

Funny thing, the sound of the common pigeons is not the same between the ones in Montreal, Canada and the ones in Weimar, Germany.

PIGEONS DESPERATELY NEED HELP !!

90% of pigeons in cities die in their first year of their lifes. The others don't live longer than 2-3 years.
In nature, they can live up to 12-15 years !

They have nothing to eat, they are forced to eat trash, they get sick and die, freeze to death etc

Pigeons can NOT lnaturally live in cities. They are only here because of breeders !!
