People are missing the point. A robber will not know you have this on your door or how high or low this is placed on your door. You think the robber is going to come with a piece of milk jug just incase you have this lock on your door? They will have no clue if you have a dead bolt, this or duct tape between the door and frame. They want to kick down the door and get in and this gives resistance and time for the home owner to grab their firearm or phone.

Unfortunate that its easily shimmed opened from the outside with plastic, also unfortunate that McNally is getting DMCA'd by the creator because of a hurt ego.
I still think its a good reinforcer from brute force attacks if noones expecting it. (also apparently adding a rubber band will help resist shimming, but not stop it.)

That's real nice and everything and I know the screws go past the border, but if someone kicked the door in wouldn't it just rip off the border and and the screws come straight out with the lock? Because I know what my temper, and if I ever had to do that. I'm pretty sure my leg will go through the door or I could kick that door off the hinges. And i'm talking about a basic door. Not one of those solid mahogany, doors that the cops can't even get in with a battering ramp.
