Back Across the North Sea. Chapter 7.

Enjoy the final chapter of "Sailing around Scotland". I departed Inverness and decided to stop by the remote city of Fraserburgh, as not to many sailors come here. I was surprised to learn that that The Museum of Scottish Lighthouses was situated here, and so happy to visit, as I love everything about lighthouses.
Then it was back across the North Sea, to Haugesund, Norway.

Wow! I'm the great-grandson of a lighthouse keeper, and now the first in a couple generations to take up sailing again. This video brought a lot of emotions.... thanks mate!

Eric, there’ll be lots of Scots ( and at least 1 Saxon) screaming “It’s Fraserburra!” Not Fraserberg. Great vid, as ever.

Thanks so much Erik. I've been waiting for this last episode and wasn't disappointed. Loved the drone footage of the lighthouses. Well done Erik.👍👍

Big guy, any UK town ending in ness has Viking origins. Ness means nose and refers to a headland or nose sticking into the sea, or a lough or river. Skegness, Deerness, Shoeburyness Widnes for example. In Norge you have Kirkenes and Evenes allso.
Inverness is mentioned in the Ball of Kirriemore, a traditional folk song, ''Four and twenty virgins came down from Inverness and when the ball was over, there were four and twenty less!''
Thank you so much for this series, one of your best and I really enjoyed it mate! And that north sea passage must be your easiest yet!.

Tusen takk Eric, fair winds.

You are famous, Erik!, and people like you because you’re all heart!❤️ Tiger’s Scottish scarf!😂 awesome. Such an amazing series!! I can only imagine how the trip back home felt after such an achievement, riding on the high from it all. The videography is perfectly done, as well. A+ production work. The whole series was just beautiful, and how nice to hear you say you were looking forward to getting home in this one. Awesome all the way around. Wow!

The lighthouses museum in Fraserburgh is well worth a visit. My kids had to drag me out after about 2 hours.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Scottish series. You showed my country in an amazing way, not always easy with our poor weather and lack of funds. Thank you, you honoured us. Looking forward to your next adventure.

Thanks Erik. Great video. If you are into lighthouses you might like an Australian group called The Waifs and their song, "Lighthouse"
