Easy Way How to Change Cartridge on Battery Grease Gun ● DeWalt Model DCGG571M1. The trick that explains how to change or reload the grease cartridge (tube) in a DEWALT 20V MAX Cordless Grease Gun (DCGG571M1). The same method will work for any other battery powered grease gun.

The DeWalt battery operated grease gun works great, but changing the cartridge is difficult if you don’t follow this simple procedure. The included DeWalt instructions are not very intuitive

Also (IMPORTANT!) the screw cap at the end of the cylinder is deceptive! That cap should never need to be removed, and if you do, it makes things a lot harder! This video shows you why.

Greasing your equipment is critical to long life and less failures. I grease my Bobcat skid steer loader at least every ten hours, sometimes more often. Everything that has a hitch pin needs a little grease! Same goes for our Kubota 7040 tractor and the implements and attachments.

I have cursed this grease gun ever since I bought it six months ago. I pulled like hell on the stem until I He-Manned that sucker into the locking tab, unscrewed the end cap, the spring went all wonky, and had a really hard time getting it all put back together. You need about four hands to do it my way. After running two tubes of grease through it, I was about ready to sell it, just because I didn’t want to go through the hassle of changing the cartridge again. This video is a lifesaver. I’m about to go try it your way.

Your video helped, I just needed a reminder about unscrewing the cylinder so that I could pull the handle back. You could have also mentioned the priming button, but I have not needed to use it yet.
