Many Conservative Christians Accept Trump’s Moral Flaws

Polls show that an overwhelming majority of non-denominational Christian evangelicals plan to vote for Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump, despite charges of immoral behavior. Many nationally known leaders of the so-called Christian right were critical of Trump when he ran in primaries earlier this year, but most of them now back him, despite his alleged sins. VOA's Greg Flakus reports in Houston.

They accept his moral flaws to gain political advantage: power. They used to preach against "moral relativism", "situational ethics", and compromise; and here they are practicing all three. What an example for their poor, messed-up children. Hypocrisy!

I hope Evangelicals maintain a consistency. Evangelicals supported Slavery, Segregation, discrimination, but always had a standing for moral integrity, especially for the president. They are more like the Pharisees and Lawyers Jesus condemned "But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.", and "And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers." respectively, Jesus certainly would not compare David with Donald Trump. One big obvious fact is Trump shows NO, NO repentance, no sorrow, no guilt. And Evangelical do just like Popes in the old days, grant clemency and indulgences. But Evangelicals are worse because they are an organization who should know better but history is the teller of all tails.

How desperate do people have to be? It is one thing to accept the ugly aspect of reality, another to approve it. Trust the Lord, not your politcal system or your leader. Why do you think that Christians in ancient Rome had to suffer? In many cases, it was because they would not swear to Caesar, as though he were a god.
And since when has God been 'conservative'? He created the universe where nothing had existed before. He freed the Israelites from slavery in Egypt and led them into the Promised Land. Jesus challenged the Jewish authorities in their misrepresentation of the intent of the Law. God raised Jesus from the dead. The Gospel has spread nearly to the ends of the earth. If anyone is in Christ, he or she is a new creation. Later on, God will create a new heavens and a new earth. A 'conservative' God?: NO WAY.

Because Christians should not judge.. we are all sinners, and I feel he has done a lot for our country and has our best interest at heart. Socialism is NOT the answer, it is government control and our religious freedom is at stake.
