Watch live: Trump speaks at ‘The Believers’ Summit’

Former President Trump will appear Friday evening at an event called “The Believers’ Summit” hosted by the conservative Christian organization Turning Point Action in West Palm Beach, Fla.

In a statement, Turning Point Action president Charlie Kirk directly cited divine intervention in preventing a shooter from killing Trump during an assassination attempt earlier this month.

Trump was hit in the ear by a bullet in that shooting, but avoided more serious harm. Another attendee at the July 13 rally in Butler, Penn., was killed, with two wounded. The shooter was killed.

Trump is scheduled to begin speaking at 8 p.m. EDT.
