Hey Everyone! Only now I saw that Gary Brooker passed away.... : ( One of our greatest voices ... I'm sad... It's a strange feeling though... I'm sad for him, and for our loss, but - at the same time - I'm somewhat comforted by all the manifestations, namely here in this comment section, which means the World won't forget him... it shouldn't.... But above all - I must say it now! - it has been truly unique, and wonderful, to be able to read all the comments here (not only now, but from all over the last year), hear all your stories, and relations to the song, how it touched so many different lives... And - what really makes it for me - See, and experience, so much UNITY in this comment section... 🌍 It feels really special, gives me Hope, and it touches my Heart, believe me... 🙏 So, Thanks You All... Thanks Procol Harum. Thanks GARY BROOKER... 🙏 Thanks for your Life, and thanks for your decisive role on this unique experience.... Perhaps this Wonderful example can Lead the Way!🕊

Rest in Peace GARY BROOKER, that here - the other type of them - are at War... : |

I can remember being at a high school dancing to this with my now husband for 53 years. So glad to have grown in the 60's. Loved this song. What great music we grew up with!!❤❤❤

This song was number 1 when I was born. My Dad who sadly passed away over 12 months ago and I would always play it loud and sing to it. Precious memories. RIP Gary Brooker 🙏 😢 💔 a legend and masterpiece.

This was one of my Dad’s favorite songs and the last song we listened to together before he passed away. Every time I hear it I’m transported to that last moment in time.

From my era (I'm 78) this Procol Harum tune, along with the likes of "Stairway", "Freebird", "Hotel California", "White Rabbit", "Edge of Seventeen" and Foreigner's "I Want to Know What Love Is" still give me goosebumps. When we are emotionally devalued by today's fog, those goosebumps are the drug with the juice to bring us back to clarity ... listen, feel, remember and smile.

Truly one of the greatest musical masterpieces of all time.
I bought this "record" 55 years ago, and I still listen to it to this day.
So sorry that Gary has left us, but he did leave us something wonderful.
