Reading and watching Emily vids. Us introverts are having the time of our lives during this quarantine.

I’m the only one thinking that the cover for Lilith something book by Octavia E. Butler looks more like a romance book with sexy times? hahahahaha, something that Emily would absolutely hate.

24 hours readathons seems amazing, since we're shut down and locked in we can participate in those 🤭

Those Octavia E Butler covers are giving me cheasy romance vibes. (You know, those avalaible in Walt Marts) 😂 I was so surprise that they are sci-fi!

Emily, thank you for brightening our days! I now making a conscious choice to stick with my daily routines - reading, watching Booktube, even bought some seeds to plant new plants. I think at this time it's very important to carry on our usual lifestyle and not get anxiety checking the news every 30 min.

I really think that Sherlock Holmes is one of those stories, which will always be timeless. I do recommend reading it, honestly sometimes I fall asleep listening to a Sherlock audiobook, somehow it's really relaxing for me. I honestly just love detective stories in general and Sherlock Holmes is just so iconic, so if you enjoy mystery/thriller/detective books I truly recommend it!

I have so much respect for emily cause she talks about books that are not considered the ‘it’ books in the booktube community. LONG LIVE

Just do what you always do. I don’t even click on videos now if the corona virus is what people are talking about it. Books and booktubers are a welcome escape!

I like the updates on what people are at in the world. They finally closed the pubs here (Ireland) as a load of geniuses thought that quarantine involved getting drunk in large groups, but sher what's new. Read a book in a day and had to place an order on Amazon because otherwise I'll be rereading for the next few weeks. Not that that's a problem, the Harry Potter series is there for when things get stressful! Love your videos, take care ❤

I think maybe just an update on how youre doing. Is everything closing where you live?

I love Kafka's writing! Metamorphosis is good but it's not actually my favourite of his short stories, so I definitely recommend reading the others too.

The Hum and the Shiver is the first and I loved it! I finished it in 2 days on audio, I really enjoyed it and have been meaning to continue the series. I just finished I Contain Multitudes by Ed Yong and I loved it. It's about microbes that live in/on us and all animals. It blew my mind on several different occasions. I'm a biology graduate student and the science was great and accessible.

That’s so unbelievably sweet that you want to check with your audience on the situation. I personally think little updates about where you live aren’t bad at all. But I am definitely one of those people that are trying to ignore that part of social media since my school, prom, and graduation are all being effected in my life right now. Hope you’re safe and healthy and thanks for making us all get lost in books.🥰❤️

I have 4 kids and they are out of school now for a total of a month including their already scheduled Spring Break in April. We went out and stocked up on food and necessities Wednesday-Friday and picked up my kids schoolwork so we are staying home now. We live out in the country so we can get outside still luckily. (And it’s warm here in Georgia lol) but most people aren’t taking things seriously and are just complaining about “hoarders”.

I'd love to see a vlog of some of the 2nd books in a series you're reading this month! Love the idea for that challenge and love seeing your reactions to fantasy books even without spoilers :D

I live close to Seattle - which got hit hard. Schools are closed for six weeks starting Monday. A lot of other places are starting to. I'm going out for work and that's it. I took all of my stuff back to the library so I wouldn't have to worry about anything. Thankfully I have tons of unread books to read! As does the rest of my house. Besides the library, I'm really going to miss my gym for a couple of weeks. It helps keep my anxiety down and goodness knows I need that right now.

Thanks for asking how we feel about talking about everything that's going on ❤️ I'm from Italy and we've been in complete lockdown for what feels like ages now and I'm sure most of us don't really want to talk about it but it's important to acknowledge it and not pretend that everything is the same. It's all gonna be alright as long as we are careful and stop being selfish and I can't think of anything better to do than reading and watching videos about books! 😊😊

Also, I really need a guide like "science books for dummies" 'cause I'm starting to think I should have paid more attention in school 😅
