Young people in the US could learn so much from you Joan, and from John.

John Prine wrote this song about the loneliness of old age when he was 25. The guy had boundless empathy for the human condition. RIP.

Both John Prine and Joan Baez are American treasures. I hope they continue to sooth us with music for many more years.

John didn't leave us via covid, he had squamous-cell cancer and deteriorated from chemo radiation. he held on as long as he could, continuing to perform despite his ailments. a real man with a heart of gold. haven't seen his equal before or since.

Thanks Ms Joan for this beautiful tribute to John Prine. He touched many lives with his lyrics/music and many of us needed to hear this song over and over.

Just put my mom in a nursing home. Then they closed the door for virus. Been digging deep into all things John Prine since. Now this. Hang in John. We need you.

OMG! Joan, how you keep the love alive! I have loved your music all my life. I'm 79 going blind, but keeping on, inspired by your music from all these decades. God Bless you from the bottom of my soul. Ahmen. Re: "Rejoice In The Sun".

John Prine is an American treasure. His wit and heart endeared him to me since Sam Stone. I've been playing the beautiful song Hello in There since 1971. Hang in there, Sir. We need you.

I met Joan Baez once at the (then called) The Garden State Arts Center in NJ, Exit 116 off the Parkway. I was dumb. After playing in front of 10, 000 people, Joan Baez got off stage and then she saw me, a kid with a CD in hand, I asked her to listen to my music. It's embarrassing. But as awkward as I was, she was kind, present, looked me in the eye, and gave me her undivided attention. Her kindness has moved me as much as anything that anyone had ever done... let alone charming 10, 000 people with her golden voice. Joan Baez is one of our great treasures... and is every bit as much a beautiful soul.

An amazing tribute from one great talent to another. So many of these iconic and inspiring musicians are aging, and I can’t imagine the loss of them.

...how in the world did Joan Baez get more beautiful than ever?...I'll tell you how...she followed her heart...she followed music and poetry and the things we used to call "causes"...and she gave an ear to John Prine, whose presence is sorely missed by the simple likes of me...Thank You, Joan Baez...a beautiful artist...with all love, admiration and respect, thank you for making this a better place...

Beautiful. Almost 60 years I've listened to your music, Ms. Baez. About 50 for John. These are hard times, I think as hard as any of us have seen in our (for some of us long) lives. It may sound kind of corny, but like so many other times in our history, music will help us get through it.

Get well soon, Mr. Prine!

Heart breaking listening to this as John fights for his life. Thank you for your tribute to one of the best musicians and persons ever. I have tickets to see him in Dublin later in the year and hope for a miracle that he pulls through .
Praying that you recover John
