I am from Bangladesh. During our Liberation War in 1971, Joan Baez wrote and sung the song "Bangladesh, when the sun sinks in the west..." Joan, we want to say thank you to you from the bottom of our hearts. Since then, you have remained very close to our hearts, as well as to the hearts of many people around the world.

I am glad that Baez and Dylan are back in style. Young people today need a whiff of really good music.

What a special artist. A hero of my youth. The reason I went to Woodstock.

At 80 myself, It's interesting how wisdom comes with age and reflection. I love her dignity and poise. Loved her singing and many of the folk singers of the 50's. But then a little band from England called the Beatles shook the world and me with it. I started working in bands! Later on I was in a band called Kudzu in the early to mid 70's and tho the full story would take too long to tell, we were coming thru Nashville on one of our tours and our drummer called a friend that he had once played with who was then working with Columbia. He asked if we had the evening off, we said yes and within an hour we were there and he booked time for us at Quadriphonic studios and we got to record all night there. That tape got us an audition with Columbia. They heard us, flew us to New York and we got to tour the studio there and by chance Santana and John McLaughlin were doing a collaboration album and we got to meet them. But by the time plans were starting to be made we lost a key member of the group and nothing more came of it before the group finally disbanded a year later. But what fond memories. ❤❤🎵🎵

Two Greats sitting at the kitchen table. What significant contributions both have made to us all. You have chronicled an era I was lucky to be born into. I hope that where we started as youth cycles back again in this time of even greater peril. I thought humans were evolving...

I saw Joan Baez perform in Dublin some years ago. It left an indelible memory. She was immaculately dressed. Her delivery was flawless. Arguably the most professional artists I have ever been privileged to see.

Diamonds and Rust, the Complete Epitome of a Total Unabashed Love song. Thank you, JOAN, for validating my forever love of that song.

Joan Baez is such a lovely person and she is so important to music and the 1960s counter culture. The fact she is in her 80s and still looks so young and vibrant is amazing.
