Here’s a fun fact that I remember but might be wrong: the alpha series attachment to their little sisters are so strong, that if the little sisters die, they either commit suicide, mourn till they die or become what has been mentioned in the video.

So while what the Little Sisters say sounds creepy it actually makes sense from their perspective. You find out in the second game that they see the world completely differently to everyone else. So when they say angels they mean it.

It's interesting, in bioshock 1 you hear the sisters call the big daddy's mr bubbles. But in bioshock 2 when you play AS a big daddy, they call you daddy and look different, implying that the big daddy's had alterations to their visual and audio stimuli

Yay more Bioshock! I’m sure you guys would like it! It’s this amazing, underwater city setting with a slight horror vibe and some neat action adventure gameplay elements.

They actually did talk about BioShock Infinite for a small moment in this video. They mentioned Elizabeth who is from that game and she plays a large part in the Infinite DLC which ties all of the games together. As different as Infinite is, it is still very dark underneath the brighter exterior and that is the whole point of its deviation. Interesting thing is that BioShock 1 and Infinite were made by the same creative director so it's definitely worth checking out.

I'm sorry but the Little Sister's sinister dialogue's were always oddly adorable to me haha. A great example is in Bioshock 2, if she witnesses someone being electrocuted, she'll excitedly exclaim "Look daddy, he dancing!"

This was an excellent breakdown of how Big Daddies operate. First time fighting one of those things is jarring as hell. You see them kind of skulking about, but they aren't aggressive at all unless you get too close. They're easy to avoid, easy to detect. But the moment you poke them or get too close to the girl they are protecting, they just go absolutely apeshit and start pulverizing everything in their path on their way to rip you apart. Going from atmospheric horror to a brutal showdown against a hulking behemoth with a giant drill causes such a jolt in you that it is easy to get swept up in the battle.

Of course, after that you start hunting more Big Daddies for the upgrades and the thrill of more crazy showdowns against some of the most challenging and fun enemies in the game.

Good time for some Bioshock cuz they're saying their going to be making a live action Bioshock movie. Bioshock is dark and it's fantastic for it. The gameplay is so much fun. I need to go back and play this again. Great reaction

You should definitely react to this channel more often if you want a casual yet very understanding detailed lore regarding this types of things

Man looking back at it, Bioshock is still timeless. And small note, when Ryan said the Big Daddies were knights in shining armor, the conditioning the Little Sisters saw them as that, and everything else in a different light. They called the bodies they harvest ADAM from angels because that's what they quite literally see them as lying on the floor. Also the drill for the Bouncer variant was able to be shot like a grapple line, but caused them to act out, don't remember the specifics but they stopped making them like that

Forgot to mention this in another comment, but in the last game you get to see what Rapture was like before everything went to crap, and it’s so pretty.

Alpha series also turn crazy and sometime just randomly die from heart attack if they are separated from their Little sister for too long. They were also so unstable that when you try to control it, their former mind still intact and could just ignore the order they were given. Yet they are so fast and full of various arsenal, so some even consider it to be the most dangerous type of all of them.

Rosie also seems to be the easiest big daddy to create, as people can just put on the suit and become one themselves. The process might be painful at one part, but the rest is so easy that you can just turn yourself back to a normal human

Big Sister will always have red helmet light on, due to the process of making them from little sister will make them loose their mind completely, hence why they will always be aggressive to their target.

A classic the original had never played something like it but damn the stuff with the little sisters and big daddies really pushed my moral compass up the wrong way and yes I did save the little girls and killed the big daddies. Needless to say it was worth it in the long run even if I was killed repeatedly over and over again. The good ending of the game left me moved too and I was glad it had that effect though the words "Would you kindly" will always stick with me. Fantasic game the original.

The world building in bioshock is amazing. It's one of the first games that I wanted to explore and find audio logs just to find out more about the setting

Bioshock series - awesome, it's a whole world. But to understand something you should play all of them with dls.
Worlds of bioshock are great, characters, environment, gameplay and stories.

I always assumed "Big Daddy" was one character. But I guess there's a whole variety of Big Daddies, and each one looks and performs uniquely? This is fascinating.😮
