I appreciate your pointing out these glaring mistakes. It warms my heart that I’m not the only one seeing these things...

I like how @regisbarbey put it, that “companies don’t care [about] the ergonomics of [their] apps”. This is precisely the point: ergonomics, these days, is pretty much out the window. I can almost imagine some savvy business consultants selling companies on the idea that good UI simply doesn’t make business sense.

And I think, like you said, a lot of these terrible designs are due to prioritizing the company's needs over the user's needs. The first day some company realized "hey, we can make money off this internet thing", we were doomed. On the other hand, I've recently encountered some web sites, ones we actually pay the company directly to use, that must have been designed by someone with severe mental health issues.

I totaly agree with you, I don't understand how companies don't care of the ergonomic of its apps. Apple is slowly loosing its "simple" and friendly interface that did it different from others systems. Iphones are now labyrinth to find between its functions... and pro softwares are even worse. C4D for exemple know for its ease of use is struggling to keep its workflow consistent... but others like resolve that involve a lot of development, is improving his small details that are doing day to day more productive and pleasing to use. I think there should be rules in terms of UI creation, or consulting studios to improve interface. It's so important to make it easy, appealing, productive and pleasant to use.. I'd love a video of good interfaces .. in pro softwares or even phone apps etc ... UI it's passionant, to see how a same app with its functionalities can be so different, a hit or a flop.

UI changes are easy. Meaningful UX changes based upon UCD are way harder to pull off. Therefore a lot of companies shy away from going deeper down the rabbit hole and putting lipstick on a pig instead. 🐽

Great video as always mate.
