Thrifting 70s FASHION TRENDS + Spring Try-On Haul

Come thrift with me at Value Village for 70s fashion trends! I'll teach you all of the major fashion trends from the era and where you can find them in the thrift store. Just fyi, you can stretch out those pants. Fill a tub with hot water, sit in the tub until the water cools, grat time to get some reading in. Then hang or flat dry. It will stretch to your curves. Only cold water wash, hang or flat dry. 😊

I totally agree. Once you've discovered the Goodwill bins, it's hard to go back to a regular thrift store. I've never been to a Value Village. That chain is called something else in my US state. However, compared to regular Goodwill, VV prices seem unreasonably high. I really enjoy your videos. Seems weird that I thrift on a regular basis only to watch more thrifting online...

You did well. 70s is my favourite fashion era. It was when my interest in fashion started. A lot of the 70s fashion is about the accessories. Platforms and colorful jewelry. The clogs are spot on.

Suede jackets, bell bottoms, that needed to cover your entire foot, window payne, low ride jeans. corduroy pants, crop tops weren't so short instead there was about an inch from the top of your low riders to the bottom of your shirt, baby doll tops, hot pants and what we called clogs, kinda like platfoms shoes, shirts had beautiful flowes and pieces of mirror type pieces of metal, fringe everything. That log cover up pieces wasn't much of a trend for most people, instead it was Macrame or crochet were types like the red example you showed.

No belt with that baby doll top. You will ruin the esthetic of the look. I was there in the 70’s and wore the look. Baby doll top with flair or bell bottoms. Top should be flowey not cinched.
