70's fashion was all over the place. sizzlers, micro mini, mini, maxi, bell bottoms. I remember and wore them all. great memories.

It's so weird to hear her say my grandma and her 70's style. But I figure since her dad is only a few years older than me, this young lady has to be in her late teens, early twenties. Wow, time is seriously running fast. My mom and her sisters would have worn the same kind of dresses in the 1970's. So iconic.

I imagine the 70's prairie dresses were inspired by Little House on the Prairie because my mom still loves that show.

You bring to mind a customer I had who never got rid of any clothing. He was an attorney, made good money and dressed accordingly. He and his wife lived in an old "Oil" mansion in Oklahoma. The top floor was approximately 100 feet long with walk-in closets the entire length both sides, absolutely stuffed with clothing from the 1930's to the early 1990's when I last saw them. It was amazing. You would have been in heaven.

I was a teenager in the 70s. I remember Gunne Sax dresses being very popular. So many fun fashion moments, like the Dorothy Hamill haircut too. 🥰

That is so amazing! I don’t think my grandmother held onto her dresses. She was always very much a pantsuit lady. Very chic, all business, her business was nonstop charity work, and contributing to local political campaigns. She was in every sort of women’s club you can think of. She grew up in the 30’s and just passed 3 years ago at the age of 94. She was amazing.
