The Duke Nukem Grabbag Medley
Показать описание
I've been noodling around today, when I accidentally played the god damned Duke melody. Caused some serious flashbacks from E1M4...Two hours later I had the instrumental set up. Cheers! Shoutout to the boomers!
Basic settings:
- Cort Action PJ (bass)
- Jackson KE3 (guitar)
- Cockos Reaper (DAW)
- VT 5150 (Guitars)
- STL Tone NadIR + SMG V30 (IR handler)
- STL Ignite SHB (Bass)
- MT PowerDrumkit (Drums)
- Denu Denovsky (universal plugin)
- REApack (universal utility)
- BX Boom package (mastering and EQ utilities)
- TAL suite (reverb, filter and delays)
This one is tricky, the composition isn't entirely mine, the original track was composed by Lee Jackson for Duke Nukem 3D, released in 1995. I was heavily inspired by Megadeth's 1999 version and DN: Manhattan Project version from 2002. That's when 3D Realms were in charge. I wasn't fond of the Gearbox's Duke Nukem Forever variant, however, so I have no real idea who's going to sue me. ;)
In before someone actually does - I am not the original author of this musical composition, nor do I claim any profit off of it. Sampled audio comes from Duke Nukem 3D internal game files, graphics are both from Duke Nukem video game franchise promotional materials.
