Paid off my house in April. Took me 4 and a half years.

I love my paid for home 🏡. It allows you to do so many other things with the cash. Good peace of mind too.

Don’t be afraid of a little leverage. Just have to do the right deals.

This call blew my mind because I'm also planning to buy a rental property soon. I'm 24....my name is Landon...and I live in Memphis too. Must be a sign.

Wait until early/mid 2021 when the housing bubble pops, then you can load up for the real estate portfolio at a discount.

Fun and inspiring. You can see Dave's excitement for them but he is still able to give sound advice for the finances and their marriage.

I love these calls with just Dave, he really opens up and you can sense he is more himself

Graham Stephan. His first three properties were paid with cash.

And he said to them, “Take heed, and beware of all covetousness; for a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” Luke 12:15. "But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and hurtful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction." 1 Timothy 6:9.

Beware brother! Those of us who love Dave and want to follow his advice take heed; myself included.
Why doesn't Dave ever quote those verses? It seems like much of his business is geared not just towards a helping people gain a comfortable retirement but towards gaining riches. There's a problem there.

Thank you Dave! This was exactly the advice I was looking for at 24 when I called the show, but Chris was taking calls instead of you. 😅 All things in good time though! 🤣 I love the entire Ramsey team! ❤

I don’t think your age matters when it comes to paying cash for anything or when it comes to investing. If you got it you got it 🤷🏾‍♂️

I remember being 22 years old and being this enthusiastic .... about being a priest. Four years in seminary wasn't the best way to build my wealth. It served its purpose though. I am happily married with beautiful children and trying to catch up my retirement nest egg.

I’m 24. 3 properties. 80% equity across 300k value in them. Alittle more to go but the debt will be gone soon.

Dear caller, congrats! Keep going. I was going to throw all money at house/investments until it finally dawned on me that I’m not going to live forever. Now I use 25% for paying house down/investments and 25% for fun things now. The way I look at it is I shouldn’t even have that 25% to do investments with, so I’m way ahead already all while enjoying “now” (life)
