The QUAD foreign ministers discussed Russia during their third meeting in Melbourne. But there was no mention of the crisis in the joint statement. How did India react to US attempts to pull the QUAD into a European crisis? Palki Sharma tells you.

Well done India. India always worked towards peaceful settlement of issues whereas US and the NATO have always used force for the settlement of issues, which won't last for long. Dragging India into adopting such an attitude is unwelcoming, even it requires India to quit QUAD. Proud of India.

Problems of NATO should not be discussed in QUAD, I think it is the right choice to discuss QUAD issue and not let them deviate from the topic. If India will be part of NATO then India should be dragged to discuss about any issue related to NATO.

Last time the US enforced a sanctioning regime, India suffered economically and diplomatically with an important neighbour, Iran. The NATO allies can do and undo sanctions at the whims of America. We must not commit any blunders this time around.
