I would feel better if this was not "hosting U.S. ally troops" but "hosting European ally troops".
Why is it NATO equals U.S. expense and U.S. troops? Why not French, Spanish, Italian, German and U.K. troops?

This is what we called a global reach by United States Armed Forces. They can deployed troops worldwide in a moment notice.

There are several points to this:

1) The North Atlantic route from the USA is secured either by air or sea. That is the center of the Axis.

2) There is lots of infrastructure in Denmark: Be it rail and road to Germany, road.
By sea through ferry lines to the Baltic countries and Poland.
By air as there in a small country are many airfields with connecting infrastructure. I count 5-6 major air fields, a similar number of secondary airfields and yet a similar number of small airstrips that can take Hercules transports.

3) Good connections to Norway.

4) Danish waters have an eastern limitation in the Peter and Paul in Sct. Petersburg. The western is Den Helder in the Netherlands.

5) If I'm not mistaken the oil and gas rigs in the North Sea are reconfigured to recieve oil and gas from the USA.

6) The air defence of Denmark will have missiles on frigates which can be build rapidly. They can be placed in Botney Bay and Finnish Bay - as well as other places in the Baltic sea.
Denmark needs new fighter aircrafts to supplement the F-16 (nothing wrong with the F-16; but it does not have the range) - the F-35 does not have the speed.

Russia have many times argued that when they go to countries and fight its because theyre invited by the government, Syria being one example. So, all countries whom house Nato military are invited by those sovereign nations, what's different?

Russia in the military occupations by the Soviet Union during World War II the Soviet Union occupied and annexed several countries effectively handed over by the Nazi Germany in the secret Molotov-Ribbentrot pact of 1939. These included the Eastern regions of Poland incorporated into two different SSRS as well as Latvia became Latvian SSR Estonia became Estonian SSR Lithuania became Lithuanian SSR part of Eastern Finland became Karelo--Finnish SSR and Eastern Romania became the Moldavian SSR apart from The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact and post-war division of Germany the USSR also occupied and annexed Carpathian Ruthenia from Czechoslovakia in 1945 became part of Ukrainian SSR.
