Say what you will about this trilogy, but deep down you have to give Jackson mad props for not only bringing us back to his same middle earth he perfectly captured before, but also expand on it and make the newer locations blend in with it seamlessly.

honestly, i don't blame Bilbo for turning down the offer from Gandalf after hearing that. Gandalf was being very honest. Lots of us desire to go on adventures and to take risks...but we really do not have any conception on how those adventures will play out, and we really have no clue on how drastically we can be changed and not always for the better.

Love this scene. It shows that bilbo comes from a line of warriors and gives us some great history about the past.
