I have schizo-affective and hear a woman’s voice. I’ve been homeless when I was unwell and not on top of my mental illness. I recovered and now work as a support worker for a mental health service. What you are doing is awesome!

For all the people bashing psyche meds and the pharmaceutical industry: She said in this video that meds have helped schizophrenics like her (and my brother, I might add) lead a normal life. So stop saying ALL psyche meds are bad. They save lives.

I was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2008. I spent a year in a psychiatric hospital. The first drug they put me on worked. I'm 42 years old now, and life is normal. I will be on medication for the rest of my life. This is a great video. People need to realize there is light at the end of the tunnel, of schizophrenia.

I was homeless with schizophrenia for 3 years. I had given up all hope. Now I got a roof over my head. I'm getting my life back together slowly but surely. Feeling stronger and hopeful every day. God bless you all and people living with this illness. Never give up hope in life.

My sister hung herself last year (March 2019) and I have since been interested in learning more about mental health. I totally think she had way more than bi polar as diagnosed. This sounds like my sister. Especially the part about everyone being against her. Sadly she was only being treated for anxiety and bi polar and totally undiagnosed with schizophrenia :( I’ll never know now what she had but I think she was totally untreated for it and her voices (bad ones) became too loud and too much to bear. so I am definitely not against meds because I saw the imbalance my sister had. She couldn’t sleep, she had horrific panic attacks (mainly while trying to sleep), delusions, paranoia, etc and it really developed in her last 5 months. Please don’t leave your loved one alone! My sis should still be here. :(

My brother committed suicide yesterday by falling in front of the train.he was schizophrenic from the age of 14, he was under treatment but it was not easy for him. He died at the age of 27.please take care of your mental health it's too important to bring awareness about this condition, so that someone's life can be saved. my brother was a very soft and kind hearted person but the voices he was hearing were very much disturbing him he said he needs rest and After that he took this decision to end his pain.i love him and miss him.

Shes doing really well. My cousin is schizophrenic and it took a long time for them to get him on meds where he was sociable. I have another cousin that is bi-polar and refuses help. Mental illness is no joke. People have no idea unless youre dealing with it first hand. This girl is doing a great job.

I am a parent of a young man with mental illness. Thank you. It helps to see a person own who she is instead of hiding in shame because you're brain is working differently. I want my son to love himself that way and to take good care of his health.

I have OCD and schizophrenia just was diagnosed about a year ago. I cried when I found out because I didn’t know what to do and because I was afraid of the stigma. Videos like these help reassure me that my life isn’t over.
