I have had bad experiences with my father but I have always gone to God for guidance and just to vent. For me God is truely the only loving caring Father I've ever known and I'm okay with that

This is a big thing atheists love to bring up with me...oh its now real why would Jesus call out to "himself" before He got crucified. Human minds just can't grasp it let alone non believers. Goes all the way back to Elohim and creating humans in "our" image. Some of us never really had any earthly fathers but just glad to have a Heavenly the father to the fatherless :). Think it like this. Water, has one True form but It can have 3 different forms at the same time gas, liquid, solid and yet it remains Water. Same thing applies to Time which is the Past, Present and Future. Each element has its own attributes yet it remains Time. That's how the Holy Trinity works. God is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit which each attribute remains, but it is still God. Hope that helps.

Really enjoyed the concept of the father being both he who raised you and also he who concieved you. It really puts the multiple identities of God into perspective. @JonJorgenson and the reason why we should go through Jesus? is because Jesus is holy and Perfect (he proved) and non other in this world are holy and perfect....so sinners cannot have direct contact with GOD so for that reason we go through Christ.
(1timothy 2:5 For there is one God and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.)

Hello, adding to the content, the trinity is not three parts.
Like your brain and spirit, you can't remove one from another so they are not parts.
And there is not even a moment where the god father doesn't have his son and vice versa

When raised in church as a child I was taught God sits up in heaven and waits for you to mess up then he disciplines you. This followed me until young adulthood when finally someone taught me what God was really like and what it means to be Abba and from that day to this (almost 40yrs) I have always talked to God by saying Abba first. It seemed strange at first going throughout the day simple saying Abba be with me today to now being fully comfortable with speaking to Abba about any and everything day of night.My Abba is faithful and just and is full able to do the impossible.

Unfortunately the churchfathers couldn't figure out that the Father - who is a spirit ("God is a spirit") - is inside Jesus and is simply called "Holy Spirit" by Him (see the Jesus' sermon about the TWO blasphemies - directed to Son and Father - where Jesus calls the Father "Holy Spirit"). The Father helped Jesus in the desert and also later when speaking. Thus no third person exists (of course: Jesus is only with the Father, NEVER with TWO persons, see the gospels).
