Why don't the Exorcists use Guns in Hazbin Hotel?

The other day i saw an interesting question which i haven’t seen covered before. Why do the exterminators not use guns in hazbin hotel? Let me explain.

So throughout the show we see that heaven’s exterminators primarily use swords or spears to fight, with adam their leader using his custom battle axe guitar.

If they were to use guns it would make their jobs alot easier. We also see demons create their own weapons using angelic metal, like carmilla carmine’s shoes or striker’s guns. It’s odd that hell creates these guns but not heaven.

Well the explanation is that no exterminators were ever killed or injured before, except for when carmilla killed one and when vaggie was injured by lute.

Adam and his exorcists simply killed for fun and used violent weapons to do so, they didn’t expect hell to actually be able to fight back.

The second reason is that this would obviously make them a bit overpowered. If every exorcist was equipped with laser weaponry, like the ones adam shoots, hell would get decimated.

It makes more sense for heaven to start to use these upgraded weapons in future seasons to fight back against hell, therefore raising the tensions.

I think they just like to have fun with the kills. Guns are pretty instant, so they wouldn’t get to toy with the demons if they used those

I love how you can see Niffty in the background, she didn’t have a shield and Adam just shot the area. Niffty is smoking but she’s just so indestructible she just took the laser and was like “👍🏻”

I think they never bothered using them because everybody else was so scared the fight back and never stop the chance to take one out when the Angels were lacking awareness which was usually 80% of the time

The first thing i thought of is: That wouldent be kid frendly…. But then I realised we were talking about Hazbin Hotel 😂😅

Because angels are usually depicted using swords to battle and to protect.

The other possible reason is that perhaps the elders secretly new angelic metal could harm Angels, and so they decided not to make ranged weapons because the projectiles of those weapons (arrows, bullets, crossbow bolts) would be lost and could be recovered by the demons and melted down to make new angelic weapons.

It could be heaven arrogance thinking they don’t need better weapons, or perhaps Adam laziness to not take care of the exorcist as long as they get the job done which probably resulted in leaving behind said weapons which proved their downfall later on, or maybe they couldn’t create new weapons without risking the winners catching on.
Or maybe the exorcist just liked the brutality of close range combat or a mix of all of that.

I think another thing is that the extermination’s were most definitely happening way before guns were thing.

So spears would have been the apex weapon when the extermination was created and they just haven’t updated their weaponry because yeah they felt like they didn’t need to.

Well, Camilla mentioned to Vaggie in episode 7 that exterminators are confident enough to think they won't get hurt, it's in the way they fight, isn't it?
But now that Adam was killed, they'll probably use more advanced weapons.

Actually vivziepop said that the exorcists have many types of angelic weapons, from the oldest ones like swords and spears, to the most modern ones like guns.

It’s explained in the show that angels’ armor are very useless because in fact heaven get no resistance during all extermination and this is the first time demons defend and strike back so basically exterminators army was clearly unprepared for a real battle

It's exactly what Carmilla was telling Vaggie. Angels didn't know they could be harmed. They didn't see a reason to change their ways. Not even demons were willing to use angelic steel as a weapon until Carmilla found its potential. We also still don't know how Carmilla processes the steel for her weapons, and perhaps heaven won't know either for a while. Or even better, the only way to process it enough for guns can only be done in hell, which will give angels another reason to go down. We haven't seen that many angelic steel guns, not even Carmilla weilds one, so they can't be that easy to make.

Well, yeah. Heaven wasn't using firearms since they weren't expecting a fight from demons. Even an angel ending up dead by one, was a shock but not enough to actually start packing heat.

The reason I thought of was because it was more knight like and less monstrous to use swords instead of guns

I also feel like it makes them "cooler", like spears are more "angelic" than just a gun.

Like Carmilla already said angels kills for fun and act like they are untouchbel. Their is a reason why they wear little armore and hold themselves open.

Also they like to torture sinners because they think they deserves to die, because if they were "good" then they would be in heaven.
