I'm not a big fan of locking trems but I used a Baretta as my main workhourse guitar when I played in bands in L.A. during the heyday of the metal scene in the 80s. It just worked. I set the bridge flush so it could only dive, but the thing worked great, sounded great, played great. Very solid guitar. If you're going to use a trem seriously the only way to stay in tune, and of course things can still go wrong, is by using a well set up locking trem.

Hi Captain,
I’M very interested in those Kramer Baretta Vintage. I already Own 2 Baretta Special, and one The 1984 ( white One ) like. I would like to know how the Baretta Vintage sound compare to the Special that you have.I do prefer the tone of the Spécial, compare to my the 1984, particularly the one i put a Seymour Duncan JB. The special have a warmer, rounder tone compare to my 1984. Does the Baretta Vintage way brighter ? I fear that a bit since the body is mapple . I find the 1984 with is Alder Body pretty bright, nerly too bright, I have change the pick up for an EVH Franky, and change my set up to compensate for that problem ( for me). Also how the neck feels compare to the special. Thank you to let me know. Regard’s Pierre

Flat mount Floyd. Can't pull up on the bar. Dives only. Awesome looking guitar. Steve
