Pyrrhic War Campaign Rules Preview

Starting in February, the guys at Little Wars TV will be kicking off a months-long campaign to refight the entire Pyrrhic War from 280 to 275 BC. In this video we preview some key concepts from the rules, which are based on the same campaign engine in the Age of Hannibal supplement "Over the Alps."

Patrons of our channel will receive a complete copy of the Pyrrhic War rules in early February to help them prepare for the game. But even if you're not a patron, all of the campaign videos--as well as the new Return to Magna Graecia supplement--will be available later in 2021 when the game is complete. We can't wait to get started with this epic event and see if our Pyrrhus (a club member we have yet to reveal...) can rewrite history and stop the expansion of the Roman Republic into the Greek city states of southern Italy.

After watching this video, and seeing how a game turn seems to work, my vote for Consul is now more strategic in thinking, in that I feel certain LWTV players have perhaps better suited gaming personalities for certain times of the war.

just a suggestion for flavour at the end of the campaign the winning general shall vaniquish the loser with a foam roof tile to the neck as a reference to how Pyrrus of Epirus actually died

You should play wars of oz based on the napoleonic wars in a fantasy world of oz like the wizard of oz and all that also i cant wait for the campaign
