TOMORROW, on Little Wars TV our epic campaign event comes to dramatic conclusion. Pyrrhus sits on the doorstep of both Rome and Capua and can win his war with the capture of either great city. Can he bring the Roman Republic to her knees, or will a new consul emerge to meet the Greek host on the field of battle? Find out tomorrow morning as the Pyrrhic War concludes.

Remember you can download our campaign rules for FREE as an "Age of Hannibal" scenario supplement on our website. The campaign rules are easily modified for other rule systems, as well, so go grab yourself a copy at the link below! The free supplement is called "Return to Magna Graecia."

This campaign style has given me a lot of inspiration for my own games. I find games like this and your 5 table Marengo campaign to be far more compelling than the standard historical battles *as much as I also enjoy those). There is something fascinating about moving armies around a campaign theatre, the fog of war and the diplomacy just brings it too another level.

Okay, lets calm down, we're excited about the Final chapter, we're all sad that this is going to be over way too soon for such an awesome Series and a great way of storytelling.
But i think this cannot be the time to cry and despair. In fact, this might be, no, it IS the perfect opportunity to ask, even to DEMAND at least a thorough consideration of an even bigger, even more epic campaign in exactly this style and a good amount of similar public involvement.
Give us the namesake himself, give us elephants,
GIVE US A FULL BLOWN SECOND PUNIC WAR CAMPAIGN!

Thought about it for a few hours, and personally I would love to see an alternative history campaign if Pyrrhus wins. The Greeks takes over Italy, and ends up in conflict with Carthage. But where Rome wasn't a navel force in the first Punic wars, the Greek would be.
I think the alternative history campaign would work, and it's mostly in the same area as this one, so the campaign map with slight additions (Africa and the sea), would make it possible.

Got recommended this video even though I never watch or have ever played tabletop war games. Now I have to watch a series just to sate curiosity.

Gotta say, the advanced optometry that was available to greeks during this time period is indeed impressive. So much advanced knowledge and science just...lost...

I'd love to see a different campaign played in similar style

I'm sure it has become all to clear to the Senate that the only man who can save Rome is Steve, Steve of Epirus.

Think it might be helpful for the non-wargamer viewer if the guys gave a basic explanation of part of a battle; ie. how far a unit can move, what die rolls are for, what die rolls are needed to succeed, etc. Just a basic rundown as a turn / battle is being carried out. Nothing wrong with the tabletop trash talk, but it might better help the uninitiated to understand what else is going on.

A bold and very Pyrrhus-like decision to make. I wish you luck...and...for the love of the gods, watch out for falling tiles.

I would like to commend this entry into the epic odyssey of the kriegspiel imaginings of what could be if things were a little bit different.
Its been a fine bit of event gaming on a grand scale, a bit like that ww2 stuff they did on the TV a while back.
I'm sure Lindybeige is a fan, or has at least watched a bit, when hes not polishing armour or talking to camera...
