A prequel is the best next thing for the pacific rim franchise, they made the most creative jaeagers the mark 1s, like, I wanna hear a lot more behind the initiation of the jaeager program, and about the building of tacit ronin, cherno alpha, romeo blue… etc. also it would be cool to have a cameo of Raleigh entering the shatterdome for first time.

My theory is that during the Black, humanity lost so many Jaegers, pilots and important assets and bases in Australia to stop the incursion that Gypsy Destroyer was the only *active* left. It could mean that there are some other Jaegers still in the fight but not active as they could be heavily damaged.

You know, it's supper funny that they also resurrected Raleigh, because in the pacific rim uprising prequal book, they explained that he died from radiation poisoning after spending his amount of time in the anti-verse, but I guess the just decided to scratch that.

Just out of topic. The precursors could've done so much with the previous designs. The Concept of Leatherback's EMP is downright diabolical considering most modern Jaegers are Electronic. Otachi's Acidic spit is also REALLY good, considering to could partially melt Cherno Alpha's hull. Knife Head's design is also really good, with it's ability to pierce through the parts of Jaegers (Gypsy Danger R.I.P). Raijin's ability to absorb and redirect kinetic energy is very good as well. A Concept Kaiju i've come up with is as follows: A Kaiju that has the Knife part of Knifehead on the arms (Maybe on the wrists), allowing it to Slash and stab Jaegers; The EMP of leatherback (it would most likely be somewhere on the back of the Kaiju) so it could disable electronic based Jaegers; the Acidic spit of Otachi (Would be contained somewhere In or around the mouth); The Kinetic absorption and redirection of Raijin (In the form of hard plates that cover the whole body of the Kaiju, including the head to protect the Sack containing the Acidic Spit). Just think about it.

I know this is Mainly a Pacific Rim video but .... Monarch is prolly The Best thing to come out of Monsterverse because of Those Human characters, Plus Godzilla Minus One proved That you can have Ground breaking Human stories in Kaiju films. Idk about you, but I think both sides of Kaiju story telling are valid.The human stories were never the problem with those Films, Ppl just wanted good Storytelling AND it seems we're finally getting that even tho I feel we've always had it through other Kaiju films :/ but ppl are just now finally starting to realize it. I still love the Monsterverse characters in the other films, tho I can admit there not the most polished characters, but The ideas those films had, made me really appreciate them more. Monarch put it on a whole other level, that really compliments The TV show format perfectly. That's just how I feel.
