The B7 Chord on Guitar

🎸 Learn how to play a B7 chord on the guitar! First, place your first finger on the first fret of the fourth string. Then, your second finger goes on the second fret of the fifth string, and your third finger goes down on the second fret of the third string. Play an open B string, and place your little finger on the second fret of the thinnest string.

Try to get your second finger to press up and mute the thickest string; we don't want to hear that thickest string on a B7 chord!

Why kill the 6th string? Here I might just be lucky to have stubby fingers. I can easily play the both the 6th and 5th strings together with my middle finger and I find that it sounds superior.

Why do you have to mute the low E? Just don’t strum it.
