Once you learn a few two chord songs, you'll be able to expand your chord vocabulary and learn some 3 chord songs, etc. It's more important to focus on the whole picture (putting chords & strumming together) than getting carried away with how many chords you know - quality over quantity!

I have to sort of jam the high e string up my pinky nail to avoid muting the open b, is this at all normal?

I saw something online showing b7 with only the first three fingers used and the pinky excluded is there multiple ways too play the note or was the example I saw wrong?

My ring finger mutes the B string and it’s almost impossible to avoid. I try to change the placement of my thumb but I use it to mute the low E 😖😶
