Exactly this I am learning from Andrew Kenneth Fretwell's book, Emotional Alchemy - The Love & Freedom Hidden Within Painful Feelings. Here is a quote which I think is says exactly what you are saying. ''One of the main reasons we are so overwhelmed by our emotional body, is because we are so focused in the rest of our lives with the rational mind - we are not present with our body. So when these very powerful feelings arise, it’s a very different experience to our normal day to day life. The secret is slowing down and feeling.''

what if you are having a hard time recognizing your emotions? Or if your motions are rooted in negativity towards others (like jealousy) making it hard to face the fact that you are feeling something like that?

Catch 22, What if we don’t have time to feel the emotion and process because we need to focus at work but can’t regulate our emotions in the moment or hide and pretend all is okay?

Bullshit, best thing to do is to find out whats triggering the certain emotion, it may be a thought, or a bad experience you've gone through, try to figure out what it is and try to think about it calmly criticaly and logially no matter how hard it is, talk to people u think may offer some insight on your certain problem, people that had experiences with your certain problem not just a therapist that probably has 0 life experience
