Hemifacial spasm not only causes cosmetic problems, but is a much more serious condition. Often, our patients at the MVD center here in Pune under Dr. Jaydev Panchwagh describe unwillingness to continue in life because of social withdrawal.
When the disease begins, it manifests as 'under eye twitching' or 'under eye vibration'. Soon it leads to 'winking of eye' like effect. Further progress leads to cheek twitching or cheek vibration and then entire half of face is pulled to one side.

Very happy for you sir. I’m also looking for this surgery next week. Hopefully I will be relieved too. I got Botox twice, and also taking baclofen . Movements are controlled but inside me feel like the facial nerve keeps on firing and there’s less movement because muscle is paralysed by Botox injections and also have to take daily baclofen which has many side effects for me. Can’t wait to get operated by Dr Jaydev and get a new life. He’s a god for patients like us.
