How come they can judge the reliability of a fresh new model? I thought you need at least 2 or 3 years to follow the data.

I had a 2016 Nissan Altima i never had any problem with. I am currently the owner of the Nissan Rogue and so far I haven't had any problems at all.

I have a 2018 murano platinum over 120000 miles no problems . Cvt works perfect . Love it. My buddy with a jeep is constantly at the dealership. I don't race my murano, maybe that's why the cvt is still solid . Never been over 80mph .

I disagree with this list, from my own research, the top 3 reliable car companies would mostly be from Toyota, Honda and Mazda. From where I'm from Kia and Hyundai aren't considered reliable at all

I owned, both, a Ford Edge and a Volvo. Although I can’t complain about the Edge, I certainly would rate my Volvo miles ahead of the Edge anytime.

You forgot the most reliable which is the 4runner. Practically trouble free and hard to look for anything seriously wrong. 2014 here and I jump bumps all day at high speed in desert dirt. You’re gonna have to dig hard to find what would be mechanically wrong other than rust which cant be prevented on any vehicle unless prevented by coating it at your dealership

Need at least three years of a new model being out in the real world before any reliability can be determined. Especially when companies hide the record of the cars faults for as long as possible and while always trying not to have to do a recall or fix the problems.
