I've been using luminar for years now because I didn't want to pay for lightroom and photoshop subscription. I really like luminar neo and AI, but it does run pretty slow on my computer.

I concur completely with your assessment, David. Neo has caused me to look at my photos with a much more clarifying eye prior to today's AI. However when it comes to the honesty of the location and the day of my shooting, I will not use the "Skies" provided by Luminar. Although, if I were creating a dreamscape/imaginary book cover or album cover, I would have no problem whatsoever using that. As for the presets, I may find a use one day but for now, I want to be the one who does well or not on my edits! Please, keep offering any insights and helpful hints in using NEO! Skylum doesn't support Luminar AI as it was the name of the previous software product anymore. Just confusing. They are pretty much a single product with Luminar Neo. They also have Imgmi that is a mobile app.

Think of AI with photography the same way that an automated phone answering system does for business. It does a grunt job. The real artsy fartsy aspect has to be done by the artist's eye. I find Topaz Labs AI does a really good job.

Finally! Very soon Ai will completely replace these useless people who call themselves 'photographers' and 'artists'. There are so many meaningful and useful occupations that need staff: waiters, servants, caretakers, cleaners, etc. I'm looking forward to AI taking over 😊
