Do Orthodox Christians worship graven images? Holy Icons

Holy Icons are Depictions of our God, the Virgin Mary, Angels, Saints, and Myrters of our faith. And we find these icons drawn on canvas, on animal skin (Berana), throughout holy scriptures, and on crosses held by priests. They are drawn in a two-dimensional method, giving us a great understanding of the past by bringing scripture into life.

Why now do most of the icons in Ethiopia-Orthodox Churches depict Jesus and Mary as white, using European artworks, rather than using the traditional Ethiopian artworks which show them having dark skin. Now most icons are European, even the churches in Ethiopia itself! It's very disappointing to see.
