"This sounds like cutscene music"

Okay, who's going to tell him that this theme plays while you are literally chilling in your room, taking care of your plant and enjoying your chocolate fountain?

Song is chill af. First persona song I learned on my bass. It plays when you've got free time at night to do essentially do freeroam side stuff around town or with your friends with variations, like raining will take out vocals and bass lines, etc... which also sound amazing. Lyn is so good, inject that voice into my veins.

Persona 5 may be one of the few JRPGs where the battle tracks aren't the highlight. All the incidental music is immaculate.

Absolutely adore this track, typically play a loop that is a couple hours long when i'm going to sleep. As someone who is usually a bit tense this really chills me out at the end of the day when i'm trying to get to sleep.

I want you to just imagine walking around some alleyway streets in the evening packed with people, nobody paying attention to anyone, simply walking to their destinations. That’s part of why this song works so well. No cutscene, no battle, just wandering around this masquerade.

This track plays when you are home at night. It has a few other variations too. Theres also some DOPE covers for this track

My favorite Persona 5 Song is "Whims of Fate", highly recommend that one.

If you want something even more chill and even a tad bit sad - go for "No More What Ifs". Period.
p.s. Yeah, you did catch this right, Jesse. The stories of Persona series do be really personal and do deliver good lessons. They are different in tone and do have different main themes. Say, Persona 5 is more about the opposition between the society and the individual, how one can get rejected by the society and has to exist outside of it, about masked heroes and villains and how to deal with the evil sides of the world. All of this in the anime story about high school teenagers literally stealing hearts and using super powers in the parellel/subuniverse, while still remaining very simple and mortal people in real world. It gets even better in Royal, so if anyone ever decides to play it - go for Royal. It makes things a lot less "black and white" and adds more grey tones and interesting questions to explore.

I hope when you listen to "Last Surprise" from p5 you will check out the scramble version of the song too, for me it's even better than the original. I say this cuz I saw that somebody requested it but I dunno which version they requested and I doubt you will do 2 videos for the same song. Anyways, great reaction as always. Cheers.

Man the execution of this song in the game is amazing when you play the first 14 hours the game only show you the instrumental version sudennly at 15 hours the song add the vocals and was so good my jaw dropped the first time ngl

Trust me when I say that you get to know this song VERY well over the course of the game - mostly because in some respects, it could be considered the player character's theme. It plays whenever you return to your home in the evening, during the daily commute to school in the morning, and a few other places throughout the plot. The vocal version that you listened to here only kicks in after you've made it through the first few arcs in the story; before that point, you hear the instrumental version instead. In addition, both the vocal and instrumental versions have a variant that plays during rainy weather, where the percussion is removed entirely, leaving only the keys and the guitar. (It also got a more high-energy remix when main character Joker got into Smash Bros.) Overall, it knows the mood it wants to set, and sets it perfectly.

"Nothing sounds like Persona!" Bro, you want to be *really* confused by Persona songs, go listen to Burn My Dread from Persona 3. Each game has its own motif, both in narrative theme and musical, with 3 being more hip-hop influenced, 4 is more pop, and 5 is pure jazz. As for where this plays... beneath the gap...

When I first played Persona 5, this song gave me an out of body experience like no other at the time.

I can't recommend enough "Battle for everyone's soul" for Persona 3, "Bonds of everyone's soul" from persona 4 and "Snowflakes" From Persona 4 Golden

"I Believe" is a song that hit me very hard when it first plays
And as for other tracks, Gentle Madman is by far my favorite theme in the game

This song gives me this weird feeling of returning to home.
Persona 5 is a pretty long game, it took me about 130 hours to beat it and I didn't even do everything you can do in the game and over those 130 hours you hear this song A LOT. Basically everytime on your way to school, when school is over, when you're walking around different parts of Tokyo, while certain cutscenes, basically everytime when there is some kind of downtime in the game or the story. At first I didn't like the whole jazzy vibe of P5 that much, because I was more used to P3's and P4's OSTs which are more energetic, but it really grows on you to the point that vibe and the game are just linked inseparable together in your head.

That's why I get this feeling of coming home when I hear this song.

....damn, I finally need to continue my P5S playthrough.

Persona 5 just oozes style from every conceivable place. Even the menus were stylish af. Which makes me very curious about theming for 6. Where will they go next, musically, thematically... and what colour will it be?
